"Northern schools have double South's computers" - That was a headline in the Irish Time on Tuesday Jan 4th 2011.
The article goes on to say how in the north of Ireland there is one computer for every five students in primary school and only one computer for every nine students in primary schools in the south. The article also says that computers in the south are an average of six years old and are not capable of running modern software.
You can help! Did you get a new laptop, netbook, iPad or PC this Christmas? What did you do with your old one? You can contact us and donate it to a great cause - Computers4Schools.org

Computers4Schools.org is a not-for-profit organisation who's aim is to bring modern refurbished computers and software to primary and secondary schools in Ireland. We work with socially responsible companies and individuals inorder to provide access to computer equipment for our children.
We are a completely voluntary organisation based in Drogheda Co. Louth. We are working with businesses both local and national, and local communities around the country to refurbish and redistribute donated computer equipment.
If you are a school who would like to participate in this program, please read our information for schools section.
If you would like to get involved, or simply to donate some computer equipment, then please contact us or see our donations section to learn more.
